Lil Wayne’s “Uproar” Music Video Is Nostalgic Harlem Shake On Steroids

Lil Wayne released a music video to “Uproar” after the #UproarChallenge went viral just days after his number one album “The Carter V” was released. The song was a fan favorite, so of course, Lil Wayne put together a music video to continue to push this record in support of his album.

“The Carter V” was a global success, charting worldwide, number 1 in Amerikkka, and selling almost 500,000 copies in it’s first week, having one of the most streamed albums in one week with over 400 million streams. “Uproar” with its iconic Swizz Beat, quickly became a fan favorite and swept social media with Shiggy, once again, providing dance moves to ramp up the fans.

Uproar’s music video is an ode to New York and the Harlem Shake. The record itself calls for it, and you can’t help but move.

The video showcases the youth, the older, the cool, and a good time getting busy like a trip down memory lane. The early 2000s brought this kind of fun on the block, and just for a moment, we can reminisce through this music video.
