[Updates Below 2.16/20.19-7:30pm/10:00pm] Anything is possible, however, somethings are just lies, reports state Jussie Smollett staged his recent attack where he was gay bashed, and racially targeted. These claims are false, and everyone involved including Jussie and FOX deny any claims that Jussie had anything to do with this recent attack.

The rumor is that Jussie staged the attack because he was about to be written off of the hit show EMPIRE. FOX made a bold statement saying; “The idea that Jussie Smollet has been, or would be, written off of Empire is patently ridiculous. He remains a core player on this very successful series and we continue to stand behind him.”
The detectives on the case, and their Supt. Eddie Johnson shut down the hoax theory that Jussie staged this by calling ABC7 Chicago stating they have no evidence supporting this claim.
News outlets are relentless in getting clicks without real information.
This is a waiting game, however, Jussie Smollett, his family, friends, and FOX have all categorically denied that this terrible incident was staged. So, why do new outlets and people continue to think otherwise? Is it because he is gay? Is it because he is Black? Is it because people believe he deserved it? Unfortunately the answer to all of those questions are, we don’t know, when the answers should be a hard “NO”. This is Amerikkka

Update: One of the two people of interest in Jussie case once worked on the show EMPIRE. Even though there’s a link, that doesn’t mean Jussie or FOX had anything to do with Jussie’s assault. How many cases do we know of people who’d been around a person and decided to hurt or harm them? Let’s not all jump to horrific conclusions before we have actual proof.
According to the Chicago PD nothing has been found, and after raiding the homes of the two interest, they may soon uncover the truth. Until then, Jussie is the victim.
Police have arrested brothers Abimbola and Olabinjo and have confirmed they are the two men seen in the video footage released near where the incident took place. The brother’s lawyers insist they are not the attackers, and Jussie says they are friends.
The police report; “Interviews will resume today with the two people of interest and their attorney. While we haven’t found any video documenting the alleged attack, there is also no evidence to say that this is a hoax. The alleged victim is being cooperative at this time and continues to be treated as the victim, not a suspect. The investigation continues.”
The brothers were released after police found no evidence that placed them at the scene of the crime.
Polices sources claim Jussie may’ve paid for the attack to happen. The brothers Abimbola, and Olabinjo allegedly purchased rope near where Jussie was attacked. The brothers lawyer also suggested the reason they were release was due to key info they gave to the police department and they have a story to tell when the ‘time is right’.

Unfortunately none of this information is factual, its all speculation and rumors. The police are still investigating and have no released any statements agreeing with these rumors.

UPDATE: Jussie has been officially charged with falsely reporting a crime. Cook County’s office approved the cops charge, and they are working to bring Jussie in. Jussie could face 1-3 years in prison and fines. However, this case could be seen before a grand jury. Story is developing, no news from Jussie’s attorney’s yet.
Prior to this latest update, FOX came out in support of Jussie claiming again he is not being written out of EMPIRE, Jussie’s family came out in support saying the media is twisting things. The story is still developing.
