Why I Love You Single Art / Derek Blanks

Missy Elliott released the official music video for her record; “Why I Still Love You” off her 2019 hit EP “Iconology”. Missy enlisted Derek Blanks once again to make her vision come true, and in true Blanks fashion, fans got another iconic video!

REDMAN NEW SINGLE “SLAP DA SHIT OUTCHA!”

“Iconology” is a five song EP written and produced by Missy Elliott and of course, Timbaland. In 2005 Missy released her album; “The Cookbook”, which was the last time, 14 years ago to be exact, that fans heard a body of work from Missy.

“Why I Still Love You” is an old school flow with a Missyfied’ thump to it, and a Timbaland flare that makes for a modern day soul-bop.

We have not seen Missy Elliott like this before! Missy appears as a sultry, curvy, beat down to capacity sanging diva amongst her backing vocals and dancers. With special guest in the video, and a young Missy to boot, “Why I Love You” is exactly what we’d expect from the icon, a lost art in music videos, story telling.
