Sunday evening TMZ confirmed NBA Legend, Kobe Bryant, and his daughter Gianna ‘Gigi’ Maria Onore, were among 5 people who died in a helicopter crash. Kobe Bryant often used his private helicopter to fly, and while heading to a practice at Mamba Academy, Kobe’s sports training academy, the helicopter experienced malfunctions and crashed.

It is confirmed Kobe’s wife, Vanessa Laine Bryant, was not on the flight. Also confirmed, Rick Fox was not on the flight dispelling the rumors. The other 3 confirmed dead were not yet released, but one may assume the pilot and crew were among the other deaths.
Update: The Associated Press confirms there were 9, not only 5, but 9 confirmed deaths, the news is still developing. Apparently the weather conditions were not favorable during the flight.
Extreme fog and bad weather caused the pilot to end up in a mountainous area, crashing into a mountain.
One another confirmed death was Christiana Mauser (girls basketball coach) who’s husband also confirmed on Facebook.
Update: 3:13Pm 1/27/20 – The names of the victims have been found: John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Sarah Chester, Payton Chester and the pilot Ara Zobaya are of the last victims to be identified.
