Wanda Sykes Thanks Mo’Nique “NETFLIX Offered Me Less Than Half Of 500k”

Wanda Sykes revealed NETFLIX offered her less than half of Mo’Nique’s $500,000 offer. Thanking Mo’Nique in a tweet, many were shocked to discover that NETFLIX low balled yet another Black, Female comedian. Wanda didn’t accept their offer, and instead moved to EPIX, however, had Wanda made a public movement about it, as Mo’Nique did, maybe when Mo’Nique got her offer, it wouldn’tve been a disrespectful low number.

It’s never wrong to speak out, but its understandable when those involved do not. Many question Mo’Nique, ignorantly asking; “why not just go somewhere else, why complain?”. Mo’Nique never complained, she counter offered, as a business woman should, then she sought support asking for a boycott so that NETFLIX could put an end to low balling current comedians, and those coming up. Where is the complaint?

MoNique Finds Out Wanda Was Low Balled:

Many scrutinized Mo’Nique claiming all of her accomplishments and relevance does not matter, citing her recent headlines to be the reason for the low balling. Although, none of that is true, how then can you explain how Wanda Skyes got offered less than half a million dollars?

Wanda Sykes was a co-star in Amy Schumer’s last film starring Oscar winner Goldie Hawn, Wanda also co-starred in a Christmas film that made over 100 million dollars in 2017. While the year of her NETFLIX offer was not disclosed, Wanda, and many would agree, has more cache in the public eye than Mo’Nique. Wanda’s EPIX special aired in 2016, and the NETFLIX offer was before the EPIX offer making Wanda’s low balling centered around 2015-2016 two or three year before Mo’Nique’s.

Wanda is often on Ellen, talk shows, and radio shows, and constantly on television, and in film. How then do we explain less than $500,000 if its not racial and gender bias? Oh….yea, that’s what I thought, if NETFLIX is low balling two of the most profound Black female comedians, what are the new comers going to get?
