After Tyler Perry announced via Twitter for Geoffrey Owens to join him at OWN shooting The Haves and Have Nots, Geoffrey soon accepted the offer. Even though Geoffrey had pause at first about offers, partly because that’s the nature of the business, people say a lot and do very little, but it seems Tyler Perry not only kept his word, but offered Geoffrey more than one episode.

CNN reports Geoffrey’s representative says Geoffrey accepted Tyler’s multi-episode arch on the hit show, and will began filming soon. The Haves And Have Nots is currently in season six with a few episodes left, so it seems like Geoffrey may be introduced in the end of season six, or at the very beginning of season seven.
Tyler’s soap opera garners millions of views per episode and millions more on demand, considering Geoffrey’s quality acting chops, this may be the series he needs to restart his career.
