The Feud Between Nicki Minaj & Cardi B Must End Inciting Fans Is Not Okay

Cardi B recently attacked Nicki Minaj at a New York Fashion Week (NYFW) party that left Cardi physically clod, and fans ignorant and overtly incited. Video obtained by TMZ shows Cardi B viciously trying to attack a standing Nicki Minaj who was insulated by security guards, of which Cardi lunged a shoe to hit Nicki citing claims that Nicki Minaj liked a disparaging tweet about her child Kulture.

TMZ reports Cardi B disturbed Nicki’s table by walking over with the intent to peacefully confront Nicki Minaj about rumors in the industry, and media. A security guard, simply doing his job, stopped Cardi B and apparently elbowed her forehead, which caused the lump she now carry’s as a result.

After being stopped by the security guard, enraged and fed up, Cardi B began her attack.

The Feud Explained:

The major problems with this “feud” is that neither of the artist, Nicki nor Cardi, can actually, factually cite why they are upset with each other. If this were to be presented in court, the judge would probably throw the case away as neither women have any factual evidence to back up their claims.

May of this year both Cardi B and Nicki Minaj were spotted at the Met Gala having a conversation (see above photo). Cardi B stated to the press; “I never was feuding with anybody; there was a misunderstanding…The thing is, it’s always little issues. But you know, fans are always gonna make it a big thing”.

Geoffrey Owens Accepts Tyler Perry TV Offer

Nicki Minaj, after a social media hiatus, on her first interview back stated; “Cardi B, she’s done exactly what she should’ve done, you know, she’s just gone full steam ahead, and you know congratulations to her, the only thing with Cardi that really hurt my feelings, was the first interview she did after Motorsport came out. I remember like when I first came in the game, if a female of that stature did a feature with me I would only be singing their praises and saying thank you, the first interview she did after Motorsport came out it just really hurt me because she looked so aggravated and angry and the only thing she kept saying was, oh I didn’t hear that verse…..her most recent interview, Cardi, that’s when I just came back on instagram, and I saw it, and I felt good, I finally felt like she said something genuinely nice about me”.

Both Women have stated they have no issue with each other, and the only actual discrepancy they both agree on and claimed to’ve settled is the Motorsport confusion. Since, Nicki Minaj has been rumored to’ve, through her music, use her lyrics to express disdain for Cardi B, particularly around the topic of payola. Even though Nicki Minaj has stated in records that she doesn’t pay for spins or for people to like her, she could very well be talking about record labels who often incite these kinds of feuds for the purpose of monetary gain.

A common thread in this feud is rumor. A rumor is a currently circulating topic or report of UNCERTAIN or DOUBTFUL TRUTH. In other words, it’s a lie until its proven true, and if its not, it should NOT be believed.

INSECURE HBO Renewed For Another Season!

Nicki Minaj recently stated, on Queen Radio, that she didn’t know she and Cardi B had an issue and that the two of them decided not to feed into the media, and rumors, which Cardi B also stated back in May. After Cardi attacked Nicki Minaj at New York Fashion Week she took to Instagram to write a message, yet again without stating it was towards Nicki Minaj, that tries to justify her attack;

“I’ve let a lot of shit slide! I let you sneak diss me, I let you lie on me, I let you attempt to stop my bags, fuck up the way I eat! You’ve threaten other artists in the industry, told them if they work with me you’ll stop fucking with them!! ….. But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are fucking off!!” [truncated Cardi B]

From this we can see Cardi B is using popular opinions, un-factual finds, and unfounded claims to justify her attacking Nicki Minaj. Assuming Nicki Minaj is dissing her in records, lying on something Cardi did or didn’t do, attempting to stop financial gain, and threatening other artist to not work with Cardi B appear to be (based on how its written) claims told to Cardi B by people in the industry. If they weren’t the open letter would’ve been written in first person exposing what she knows vs what she’s heard.

If there was any first hand truth to Cardi’s claims it would read something like this; [faux quote. ex:] “I SAW you laughing about how this verse was secretly about me, when we were at an event you lied about me taking a song and I let you, I overheard you tell the promotor not to pay me and pay you instead, and you didn’t realize I was in the room when you told this artist if they work with me you won’t work with them etc.”

Considering the latter has never been Cardi’s mottos operandi, the elephant in the room still remains. Cardi B, how do you know any of what you claim to be TRUE, and is it okay to act off rumors, and gossip, or wait till you have hardcore evidence?

Did Nicki Minaj Disrespect Kulture?

Cardi B claimed Nicki Minaj liked a tweet that talked negatively about her new born baby. Considering photos are altered often, and you can’t really trust what you see now-a-days the alleged tweet that supposedly started this is now being reported to’ve been fake. The tweet read;

This tweet was supposedly found in Nicki Minaj’s “likes” section on Twitter, but was soon realized to be fake. Even though this very well may not be the tweet Cardi B yelled about during her attack, the clear point is, do you attack someone without hardcore evidence?

Now-a-days artist aren’t the only ones using their social media accounts, it could’ve been an assistant who liked it, or a like by mistake, is that a reason to attack someone? Is it a reason to be concerned? Maybe. But as a grown adult, there’s always a better way.

Inciting Fans Is NOT Okay:

None of what we’ve seen from these two has been substantial, however fans are incited and in the worst way as they’re starting to believe, take sides, and make judgements, literally, based off of NOTHING.

Nicki Minaj and Cardi B are purposely inciting fans to pick a side, and continue their riled up hatred toward one another, and this is where the feud must end! Fans are globally confused, and apparently so is Nicki and Cardi. Without the two of them doing the civilized thing by speaking candidly about each other and or speaking alone with each other and figuring out the holes in the rumors, they are egging on what appears to be a battle that’s only getting worse.

Colin Kaepernick NIKE AD Has Bigots Burning Gear

Even though Nicki Minaj is well within her rights as a Hiphop MC to say she’s the best and everyone else sucks, and even though Cardi B is well within her rights as a Human being to be effected by what supporters say, and confused as to how this industry works. Neither of these women are within their rights to allow their fans to create a hatred for one another that could possibly lead to a more damaging unnecessary fate for people who don’t live half as well as they do.

Nicki Minaj and Cardi B… Woman up, handle this mess, and end what is just the tipping point of unnecessary chaos causes by the BOTH of you.
